All companies that engage in production adhering to the framework of quality standards have certain procedures to perform at each stage of production. Gauge / Visual Inspection is also one of them.
Visual Examination
Visual inspection, one of the oldest and most traditional control methods over the products that appear at the end of the production process, is the process of checking the product directly with the human eye or with intermediate equipment.
- A work area where parts are fixed, a sensor to detect object surfaces, and a mechanical assembly to move an object sensor around the work area.
- Computer measurements with software used to calculate part sizes according to the sensor
Pre-Production Inspection
A pre-production inspection (PPI) is a quality control inspection conducted before the start of the production process to assess the quantity and quality of raw materials and components and whether they are in compliance with product specifications. Raw material and accessories inspection before production: the quality control team checks the raw materials and components required for production.
During Production Inspection
It is a quality control inspection performed during production inspection (DPI) or otherwise known as DUPRO, while production is in progress, and is especially suited for products that are in continuous production, have strict requirements for timely shipments and follow-up. It is important to intervene early when quality problems are detected before production during the pre-production inspection.
At each stage of the production process, the auditors will prepare a complete and detailed audit report to provide our customers with the comprehensive information and data you need.
Inspection Before Shipment
The pre-shipment inspection (PSI) is one of many quality control inspections conducted by HQTS. It is an important step in the quality control process and comprises the checking of the quality of the goods before they are shipped. Pre-shipment inspection (or PSI) ensures that the production complies with the buyer’s specifications and / or the terms of a purchase order or letter of credit. This inspection is effected on the finished products when at least 80% of the order is packed for shipping. This review is conducted according to standard Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) specifications for the product.
Quality control employees test products to deliver them to consumers accurately and with close to zero errors and they are supported in this with many different tools. These include simple tools, as well as specialized testing machines such as CMMs. Quality control staff testing electrical devices can use voltmeters, ammeters, and ohm metres to test the potential difference, current flow, and resistance respectively.
Quality control staffs are responsible for the preparation of reports as a result of the tests performed. Quality control officers inform supervisors of defective products and help analyse and correct production problems. Some companies have automated these processes with by use of large control machines as well as having human inspections. Quality control staffs at these companies monitor equipment, review outputs, and conduct random product checks.
KALKANCI Gauge / Visual Inspection
Gauge / Visual Inspection is the oldest but nevertheless a fast and inexpensive method. KALKANCI’s products pass through a complete range of technology-supported inspections and are finally visually checked to ensure inspection of difficult to access parts without creating disruption.
